Beauty Is Personal

Writing Is Freedom

What’s love without freedom? What's a person, a human being, without a free soul? And what’s a free soul without writing?

Love is freedom. When there’s no freedom, there’s no love, and the soul is dead.

When we are in pain, we feel it deep within our souls.
When we are full of joy, we feel it from the depth of our soul.
Our very own happiness is sacred and sits deep within our souls.
Each and everyone of us is different, making each of us unique.
Your beauty is unique and personal.

Each of us has our own individual ways of presenting our beauty that are comfortable for each of us.
Writing is a universal way of expressing ourselves that we must all embrace.
Writing is freedom.
Many of us cannot express ourselves in the most effective, touchy way that can deliver our feelings with the emotions that make them real.

Many of us cannot express ourselves at all.
Did you ever wonder why people write diaries and journals?
It’s the need to exercise that freedom. It’s the need to free one’s self from the burden suppressing them from within.

It’s the need to free one’s mind from the pressure of thoughts that one cannot deal with.
The need for peace in one’s mind. The need to free one’s body, mind, and soul from the burden of silence.
When you have no one to talk to, write. You might think, How is that going to give me relief from my pain, and how does that replace directly talking to a person?
I won’t hesitate to tell you that writing is sometimes better than a counsellor or a therapist.

And this is true for me.
Don’t allow yourself to feel lonely, worthless, and unloved because you have no shoulder to cry on.

Write, just write!

Don’t be afraid to write. Write it raw, no editing. This is where you will really see how you feel in actual form.
When you write your journal and diary raw without trying to avoid the truth, in fear of someone finding your diary, or you might not like it when you read it later, it becomes something that wasn’t done for you and your freedom but another prison created within a bigger prison.

And if you are afraid of what it might reveal to you when you read it again years down the road, then you won’t be able to see the problem in its actual form, as it is. This won’t grow you strong, and it won’t make your life any easier or any better.

Writing is your soul coming out of the closet. It’s an act of setting yourself free. You don’t need anyone to share how you feel. If you don’t feel comfortable sharing with others, you must write; it’s a rock that’s unbreakable. You may lean on it with no fear, but with freedom.

For years, I have locked myself in a box, not being able to breathe with ease. Nights of endless tears alone out of others’ sights. The deep pain is wreaking havoc on my heart and stomach. The feeling of loneliness. I wanted to talk to anyone about the issues holding me hostage. For many good reasons, I decided writing was far better for me.

Most of us have reasons for feeling rock bottom. We prefer to keep all our issues within ourselves. We have a powerful urge to share it with someone who is kind enough to offer an ear. But what if that ear doesn’t exist?

This is when writing comes into the picture. And writing will always be there for you.

So next time you feel down and desperate for an ear to hear your struggles, write!

But write with honesty. Spare nothing for your poor soul to carry around in sorrow.
